Easy, Healthy Snacks and a Recipe

Have you been trying to eat healthily but can’t find healthy snacks? Here are healthy options that taste great and are high-nutrient foods.

  • rice cakes with nut/seed butters (almond, cashew, sunflower)

  • fruit smoothies

  • celery and a nut butter

  • mango slices with cayenne pepper and lemon/lime juice

  • spelt or rye crackers with hummus

  • dried fruit and nuts (unsulphured)

  • organic yogurt

  • apple and almond butter

  • sprouted toast with butter and honey

  • pickles (without Yellow #5 and other dyes)

  • natural chips and salsa

  • homemade healthy baked goods

  • homemade fruit juice popsicles

  • frozen grapes

Easy Snack Recipe

Almond Trail Bites

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats

  • 1/2 c. cacao nibs

  • 1/4 c. chopped almonds

  • 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds

  • 1/4 c. raisins

  • 3/4 c. creamy almond butter, melted

  • 1 tbsp. honey (optional)

  • Himalayan or kosher salt

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, stir together oats, nibs, almonds, melted almond butter, and honey and season with salt.

  2. Stir together until combined. Use a tablespoon or scoop to form balls or transfer mixture to a square dish. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 to 2 hours.

Cut into squares and serve.
